Licensing

Effective January 1, 2006, Music Services, Inc. is now responsible for the administration of our music copyrights for licensing, both commercial and non-commercial licenses. Non-commercial music administration involves the licensing and collection of royalties for the use of songs requested by individuals, churches, or organizations whose primary business is not the manufacture and sale of recorded or printed products. Among the non-commercial usages that require a license are custom recordings, video projects, custom songbooks, photocopies of printed music, and church bulletins. These licenses are issued for a "one time use," designating a specific time period, quantity, and fee.
